How to Boost the Efficiency of the Course

We have prepared recommendations on how to boost the efficiency of training. This is a case study from our graduate who received a certificate of completion with honours. So it’s worth a try 🙂 💪

So: 🔻

➡️  Prepare for the class beforehand. At the PortaOne Education Center a student has to learn the theory BEFORE the beginning of the class and be ready for discussion. You can do this with the help of video materials and presentations on the internal educational portal. Thus, at the interactive lessons we get round to the practice immediately. If you ignore this rule, you can’t make the most out of the lesson.

➡️ During the session we discuss the topic together with a mentor. The aim of a teacher at this stage is to see if students understood the theory and explain difficult points. Small tip: make notes and ask questions about everything you don’t understand.

➡️ One of the ways to revise material is to do a laboratory work. These are small tasks to consolidate the acquired knowledge. Make the screenshots of the tasks you’ve done successfully or you can copy the history from the virtual machine in a text form.

➡️ Don’t put off doing your homework. If you have questions, please contact the chat room or come to the extra session once a week.

➡️ Don’t cheat while doing the tests. Distance learning, unfortunately, gives more opportunities for cheating. By doing this you deceive yourself, because the aim of the tests (quizzes) is to help each student to find gaps in knowledge and prepare for the mashup, which is more difficult and more important stage of knowledge control.

➡️  Do not panic at the mashup  and focus on solving problem. Keep calm and do Mashup!
