Feedback about us

I practiced in opening ports via NC utility, but I could not get it working. Roma (Roman Volkov) asked me to share my screen to figure it out. While we were looking for the problem, everyone in group saw my IP address + port and I got messages – not just messages, but verse😁. It was quite funny.

The level of education was much better than I thought it would be. Instead of just reciting the material, the mentor encourages you to find the right answer. As a result, you make a lot of mistakes, but you understand why that decision was made.

Vlad Mogilevets

In addition to the lectures, mentors showed us a video with theory and practical examples, shared the pdf files with the most basic information: you do not need to look for something additional. Just take it and use it. There were tests at every session, but the mentors helped you to reach the answer on your own. When we switched from the lab to Zoom, I thought it would be impossible to study remotely. But it appeared to be very convenient and not worse than in the classroom.

It was very difficult, especially at the beginning. It was lonely, too. You need a companion: both for the supernatural spirit and for mutual assistance. Then it became easier and more interesting.

Very cool! my recommendations

Vitalik Gorbulenko

It is free, interesting, and accessible. Anyone who wants to learn unix-systems, databases, web-servers, understand how the Internet works can join the course. Yes, it is difficult, but realistic.
Completing the course program gives you a chance to get a job at PortaOne. But even without that it is very useful for those who get in touch with the IT-industry.
